 There seems to be a few questions about Old School S/M rules. These are the very things that were not only told to ME, but in fact flogged into ME. MY trainer DAVID was a stickler for rules, HE followed protocol to the letter and demanded perfection. I know that in today's world having everything in caps is 'shouting'  However, I was trained that it was standard practice for all words pertaining to the MASTER not only to be  in caps, but also in bold type. The latter I have omitted as it's not needed. As for the former, it's against MY nature to do anything against MY training.

 Before I met MY slave charles I was a member of a pansexual group in San Diego called Club X. In order to explain the old school procedures to MY fellow MASTERS, I wrote a 48 page pamphlet as a basic outline on how to train a slave, titled 'A Personal Guidebook To Leather And S/M'.

 Those topics were broken down into 2 categories.

1. WHAT IS A slave.

Topics include include information about these subjects... Respect, Names, Costuming, Grooming. Domestic chores, Hobie's, Sports and music, Transportation and safety.

2. SEXUAL BEHAVIOR.

 Topics include information about...

Here are the basic rules that should be used in a MASTER/ slave relationship. While these rules are designed for the MASTER/slave team in a 24/7 lifestyle, the same rules can apply to any slave. This book is designed to make even the best of slaves into a better slave. I will speak to both MASTER and slave in this book, and cover things that I have learned from over 20 years of experience.

WHAT IS A slave?

 A slave is an object for his MASTER'S pleasure, a boy-toy to be used any way the MASTER wishes. The slave exists only to serve and cater to his MASTER. The true slave has no rights, no privileges and no limits! In this case I'M speaking about slaves in the basic 24/7 relationship. I'LL cover bottoms, weekend tricks, and one night stands later in this book.

The slave is safe at all times, as no MASTER wishes to damage HIS personal property. Before HE can start the slaves training, there are things that the MASTER must do to start the relationship off on the right foot. The slave needs to know about the MASTERS background, know that the MASTER can be trusted, and know that he safe with this MASTER.

The MASTER should be open and talk freely about HIS past. The best MASTERS speak freely about Their training and the other slaves who have served THEM in the past. The slave will have no questions, refrain from offering advice and should never correct his MASTER.  The MASTER is in fact the owner of the slave and the MASTER'S word MUST be law!

While the MASTER must be stern with the slave, the slave accepts what is said and learns from it.Verbal abuse is common, praise is up to the MASTER as are love and affection. The slave must know his place and keep to it.

All slaves belong on the floor! The slave sleeps on the right side of his MASTERS bed in or out of bondage. Servitude is confined to the MASTER only, unless the MASTER deems otherwise.

All bathroom privileges are granted by the MASTER and in some cases the MASTER will insist on watching. The slave will be nude at all times unless the MASTER orders him wearing clothing or leather.

Unless they are in public all of the slaves sexual parts are exposed. Daily life such as meal, chores, free time, sexual servitude and recreation are up to the MASTER. The slaves diet is strictly followed, and his personal interests are closely guarded.

The MASTER has the last word on what music will be played, what television programs they will watch, and all other activities of the slave. To say that the slave will never watch television, or listen to a radio station is a bit extreme. Most MASTERS live a rather mundane life at home, and only follow the basic rules have a reason to do so. However, in or out of the scene, there is one thing that NEVER changes and that is RESPECT.

 
RESPECT

The most important word in a MASTER/slave relationship is respect!

A MASTER is known by the slave HE owns, so a disrespectful slave is a sign of poor training. The slave must know that he's there for his MASTERS pleasure and act on it. As stated before, a slave must never talk-back, reprimand, or criticize his MASTER, right or wrong the MASTERS right at all times, because HE is the MASTER!

Not only is the slave expected to show proper respect to his MASTER, but also to his MASTERS friends. If the MASTER has a friend who's gay and into S/M, then HE may want to show HIS slave off and perhaps even share the slave. And while the days of loaning out a slave are over, it's not uncommon for the MASTER to offer HIS friend a blow job from HIS slave. If the friend is gay, but not into S/M then the rules change somewhat. The friend is called SIR, or MR. but no sexual overture is made. It's up to the MASTER whether the slave sits at HIS feet, or is given permission to sit on the couch or a chair. If either the MASTER or HIS friend require a drink or another cup of coffee, it's the slave who should get it. With some MASTERS this is also true when they are in the friends home!

If the friend is not gay, then the rules change drastically. The slave gives no tell-tale sign that he's a slave, or that he and his MASTER are even sexually involved. When the MASTERS straight friends or coworkers are in the MASTERS home, then the slave will stay out of the way. But let's say the MASTER is having a cook- out for HIS office staff, naturally the slave needs to be there. In this case he becomes a bartender, or the so called hired help.

If the MASTER is relaxing in a leather bar with HIS slave then respect is vital! Both of them are on exhibit and every action of the slave is scrutinized by HIS fellow MASTERS. Since all MASTERS are human THEY tend to watch for things to pass on to other MASTERS, the good and more important the bad! Depending on the bar and the city it's located in, the MASTER will dictate to the slave where he's to be. At a real leather bar in New York, Chicago, San Francisco or San Diego, it's quite common to see a slave  kneeling at his MASTERS feet, or in rare cases, on his knees servicing one of his MASTERS buddies. The MASTER may order the slave to get their drinks, or HE may do this HIMSELF. The MASTER/slave team must conform to the overall atmosphere of the bar. Since most bars are a place for conversation, and a way to relax, the MASTER may just enjoy being out with HIS slave, shooting pool, or chatting with a few friends.

Whether it's at a bar, restaurant, or the front door at home, the slave will show his respect by opening the door for his MASTER. When walking, he will be on his MASTERS right side, and a few steps behind. Respect is mostly a state of mind, so the slave must never forget who, or what he is. And most importantly he needs to treat his MASTER as if HE is the most important person on earth: after all, HE is!
